Last Friday, Rainmaking Loft Berlin celebrated its 1 year anniversary. For this occasion, we gathered all our friends to celebrate a unique startup community we created.

Despite the common belief that Berlin people always show up for a party at least 2 hours fashionably late, at 6 p.m. the Rainmaking Loft and Le Labo were already buzzing with networking and excited guests.

Startup to the core.

The spirit of the Loft Party was supported by the “bootstrapped” decorations, including the birthday wishes wall and a Pay-It-Forward stand, where people could exchange their contact information along with the details on what they need and can offer in return.

Double birthday.

At 7 p.m., Tobias Wittich, a co-founder of Rainmaking Loft Berlin, opened up the official part of the evening with a warm welcoming speech.

During his speech, it became apparent that it was not only the Loft that was celebrating an anniversary that day. Lucie Montel, the red-headed girl without whom the place would never be the same, joined the Loft at its Launch Party. The amazing Lofties from Startupbootcamp Berlin couldn’t leave the occasion unnoticed and organized a little surprise action of their own.

 

Pitched in 60 seconds.

After that, 20 Lofties jumped on stage , one after another, for a round of speed pitching. In a minute or less, they got to present their startups and share how they got to know Rainmaking Loft.

 

   

The creative group of Ruby Cup (with musical assistance from Subvise) decided to go with a song pitch.

Make a wish.

The birthday celebration wouldn’t be complete without the traditional blowing of the candle. We won’t tell you what we wished for, but we promise one thing – the next year will be even more exciting!

 

Party Loft Style.

Once the official part of the celebration was over, the party moved to Le Labo. There, with the lovely DJ Caleesi, the night took quite some exciting turns. But we’ll leave the details out of this tale. After all, it’s not a good party if you can remember everything afterwards ;)
