Failure. A word that makes startupers shiver. But surprisingly enough, failure might also be something that in the end makes you succeed.

At least that’s what FuckUp Nights Vol. V, which took place at Rainmaking Loft Berlin event space last Friday, showed us once again.

At 8pm people started arriving for pre-drinks at Le Labo, our 1920s-inspired bar.

Then, at about 9pm, we all moved to the Cathedral, the main event space at Rainmaking Loft Berlin. Even though it is quite spacious, there was still hardly any place to sit down.

Fuckup Nights Berlin presented three inspiring speakers, who shared a few “failure” tips with the audience.

Everybody had a different story to tell:

• one entrepreneur got bankrupt because of a badly chosen location;
• another went broke because of poorly thought-out business model;
• and the last one had a misfortune of listening to wrong people at the wrong time.

However, a failure is always a lesson to learn from.

The negative experiences pushed each and every one of the speakers to re-evaluate the mistakes they made, turn them to their benefit, and found a new successfully-running business.

And that, my friends, is the real spirit of entrepreneurship.
